THIS AGREEMENT made the xxxx day of xxxx xxxx

BETWEEN

xxxxxxxxxx of xxxxxxxxxx (hereinafter called 'Stacym Somalis')

of the one part and xxxxxxxxxx of xxxxxxxxxx (hereinafter called 'the new owner')

of the other part WHEREBY IT IS AGREED that the kitten described herein under the name of Stacym xxxx ('the kitten’)

AND THE NEW OWNER COVENANTS

1       To undertake to keep the kitten as a household pet only

2    To undertake to not show the kitten.
This clause to be omitted if Stacym Somalis agrees the kitten can be shown.

3       Not under any circumstances whatsoever to use the kitten for breeding or to allow the kitten to breed with any other cat of the same or a different species, neither will the new owner allow any such use to be made of the kitten by any other party.
This clause to be omitted if Stacym Somalis agrees the kitten can be used for breeding.

4       To keep the kitten indoors with restricted access to the outside only into a "cat proof" garden and/or enclosure or on a lead.

5       If for any reason it becomes necessary for the new owner to transfer the property in the kitten to a third party the new owner undertakes to obtain from the third party a covenant in similar terms to those contained herein.

6       In the event of circumstances changing such that the kitten needs to be re-homed, the happiness and welfare of the kitten in selecting a new home should be paramount. The new owner undertakes to advise Stacym Somalis the name address and telephone number of the new owner. If the new owner is unable to find a suitable home then contact must be made with Stacym Somalis or failing that with the Somali Cat Club.

7       That the kitten will be neutered by a Veterinary Surgeon/Practitioner before attaining the age of seven months. He/She will produce to Stacym Somalis a Certificate from the Veterinary Surgeon/Practitioner stating that this has been carried out.
This clause to be omitted if Stacym Somalis agrees the kitten can be used for breeding.

8       In the event of these covenants being breached Stacym Somalis shall have the right to repossess legally the kitten and to be reimbursed by the new owner the reasonable cost of such repossession and the keeping of such kitten for a period of up to 2 months after repossession. Such costs to include Veterinary examination and fees.
